WELCOME SPEECH

Read on Thursday 8^th March in

the salle « Les Trois Rives » 

in Bazoges-en-Pareds

by a few 3B students.

ESTELLE OUVRARD

Welcome to D.O.D.I. PROJECT twelfth edition. After Saint-Maurice-Le-Girard, Vouvant,

Cheffois, La Tardière, Thouarsais-Bouildroux, Saint-Maurice Des Noues, Antigny, Mouilleron-

en-Pareds, Menomblet, La Châtaigneraie and Saint-Hilaire-de-Voust, we are happy to meet you

today in the commune of Bazoges-en-Pareds.

Since the first edition, about one hundred and fifty British people have taken part into this

project.

MATHIEU GOBIN

This project is made possible thanks to a few sponsors. Some of our them are here this

morning : Mr Philippe Belaud for Groupama insurance and Mrs Berland who runs the

hairdressing salon in Antigny. We will thank all of them at the June meeting.

We have invited a few people to show them what D.O.D.I. PROJECT is like.

First of all, Mr Geffard our head who knows how important it is to support DODI PROJECT.

We are very honoured to welcome Mr Rambaud the mayor of the commune and President of

the Community of Communes. He will say a few words about the commune during our meeting.

Let's also greet Mrs Maillet one of the town councillors.

NICOLAS GIRAUD

We are pleased to welcome Mrs Evrard who works for the Tourist Information centre. She will

be one of our guides for the June meeting.

Mr Bourmaud and Mr Douillard can't be with us today. But at the June meeting, they will

guide us through the Rochereau dam.

We had invited Mrs Françoise Blancot who runs an art workshop in Bazoges. She broke

her arm a few weeks ago. So, she can't be with us today. But in June, we will do something no

student has ever done before. We will create works of art with different materials.

CANDICE COUTURIER

With Mr Mickaël Etourneau, the primary teacher, the pupils have prepared a song and the

boards you can see.

We would also like to thank Mr Alland and Mr D'Amphernet the journalists and the

day's waiters and waitresses : Marie-Odile, Marie-Claude, Albert, Jean-Pierre, Claude,

Thierry, Michel ...

LESLIE GRIS

A warmful thank you to the British adults who accept to participate to this new adventure.

A second warmful thank you to the twenty pupils from the primary School and the twenty

pupils from Saint-Joseph's school. We started working on the project last November. We

hope you won't be disappointed.

FLORIAN POIRIER

After breakfast, we will do different activities :

we will answer one questionnaire about the commune with the help of posters prepared by

the primary pupils.

For the first time in the history of DODI, we will watch two reports about the commune.

You'll have to give us as much information as you can about what you see and understand.

CLEMENCE THIBAUD

Last but not least, after the first questionnaire, the primary school pupils will sing a song.

We will also sing « DODI PROJECT OFFICIAL HYMN ». Many thanks to Mr and Mrs Evett

who have written the lyrics.

Now, Delphine is going to form the teams and then, we'll have breakfast.
